Hey Kids, Comics! #`129 - Reckless Endangerment

It is time yet again for a new issue of Hey Kids, Comics!

This week Andrew Farmer and Cole Houston set their sites on the curious phenomenon of the teen sidekick.  Why is it considered all right for a super-hero to run around fighting crime with a minor at his or her side?  is this the price we pay for turning over a goodly portion of law enforcement to vigilantes?  Do the ends justify the means or should Batman and Captain America have been arrested for putting Robin and Bucky in harm's way?

This weighty question is tossed about along with the whole sidekick dynamic in general.  The purpose, psychology, and pros and cons of youthful sidekicks are weighed as the discussions take on a life of their own.
