Market Close 3 Sep 21: Aussie stocks lift for a second week

The Australian sharemarket edged higher by 0.5% on Friday, snapping a two-day losing streak and lifting for a second straight week. Mining stocks rose most on Friday as the ASX 200 remains ~1.5% shy of a record high.
