Miles is a professional and technical writing instructor and consultant. He specializes in helping both public and private organizations communicate plainly and transparently with their stakeholders and with the public. He teaches at the University of California, Davis, and also works with a variety of consulting clients, ranging from financial institutions to local, state, and federal agencies. He received his MFA from the University of Southern California and makes his home in Sacramento, California with his wife and daughter.

What followed was the beginning of a conversation with him and his family (who eventually left us to it to catch some art) we both knew we wanted to take forward.
