Barnier says Brexit deal “within reach”

The EU’s chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier says a deal with the UK is “within reach” if both sides are willing to compromise.

 

He was speaking in the European Parliament where MEPs have been getting an update on the negotiations.

 

Michel Barnier said progress needs to be made over the next few days on the main sticking points which include fishing and competition rules.
