AP Now Episode 15: Mary Schaeffer with Rob Unger on New NACHA Initiatives

In this episode of the AP Now podcast, NACHA’s Rob Unger joins host Mary Schaeffer to discuss two recent innovations NACHA has put forth: The Corporate Directory and Same Day ACH. What’s more, he shares with the audience critical enhancement coming to Same Day ACH in early 2020.

He begins by explaining the NACHA organization and the role it plays in the payment community. He then discusses, in some detail, the initiatives related to addressing the problems and headaches experienced by the business community. He explains the new approach they are taking trying to become a central source in helping with the new vendor verification process. This is of special concern to those with responsibility for onboarding new vendors.

He also shared how the introduction of Same Day ACH was accepted by the business community and the big upcoming change. He indicated that at first acceptance was slow but that has changed and the year-to-year growth has been impressive, leading to the enhancements.
