In our 21st Century culture, we can fill our days with so many activities that we lack space to reflect and listen to our own inner world – let alone the concerns of others …or listening out for God’s voice.
Let me confess: I am addicted to activity, and need to make some regular space to be still in the presence of God… and listen out for his voice.
Our God is not interested in our religious performance, but in a personal and intimate relationship with us. In Jesus, God has removed every barrier that separates us from the life he wants for us. Now that Jesus has reconciled us into a right relationship with Father God, we now have the awesome privilege of doing life together with him. For that relationship to flourish, we need to keep listening to his voice – and talking with him.
