Maria Collier is a Colombian-born abstract artist who has lived in SW Florida for more than 40 years. She uses music and dance as a guide in choosing her vibrant and lively color palette and says she often names her work after the songs or albums that inspire it because music is such an integral part of her process.
Her work has been placed in both public and private collections across the United States. She is currently showing her work in a year long exhibition in the Southwest Florida International Airport and in several galleries in Florida, including being represented by Sheldon Fine Art Gallery in Naples, Florida.
