The newly remodeled Purple Palace, now under the ownership of Kevin and Tina Rasmussen of Battle Lake.
This iconic eatery, known for its vibrant purple aesthetic and small-town charm, has been lovingly refreshed with a modern twist.
The Rasmussens have kept the heart of the Purple Palace intact—like its famous broasted chicken—while updating the interior with cozy lounge seating, brand-new flooring, and a sleek bar featuring dual 75-inch TVs and a glowing wall-mounted fireplace.
It’s a perfect blend of nostalgia and new energy.
The Food Adventure
Zakk and Dave dig into the Palace’s newly refined menu—starting with the show-stopping broasted chicken, which still follows the legendary recipe passed down by longtime owner Lynda Rubink.

While the dining room still features the classic purple floral wallpaper and the original Vining Palace mirror, you’ll now also find framed photos, stories, and nostalgic nods to the Palace’s rich history on display.
