US Mid-session 8 Jan 18: back on US stocks ahead of debt ceiling vote and key results

In the US investors are being a little bit cautious today ahead of the US debt ceiling vote which will occur in the Australian trading zone today at 11am ADST. Gold once again falling overnight.
