The Lesson In Making An Assumption

EP258: In today's episode I share a recent experience where I made an assumption that was totally incorrect about my husband. As you listen, let it be a reminder to you to always be aware of how your thoughts about a situation or person may in fact be absolutely incorrect, even if you don't believe them to be.

The definition of assumption is "a thing that is accepted as true or as certain to happen, without proof." But we THINK we have proof b/c we think our thoughts are fact.

"We have the tendency to make assumptions about everything. The problem with making assumptions is that we believe they are the truth. We could swear they are real. We make assumptions about what others are doing or thinking - we take it personally - and then blame them and react by sending emotional poison with our word."
