Henry St Claire Frederick's, Jr AKA Taj Mahal, now 82 yrs young and still going. Born in Harlem, N.Y., and raised in Springfield, Mass. Father was killed in a construction accident when Taj was just eleven. His stepfather had a guitar and he learned to play. Many Rock and Roll Tars and groups copied his style amped up the guitar and added more instruments.
