Personal Habits and Sins: This is perhaps the most common interpretation in Christian thought. Personal sins are seen as barriers between an individual and Christ. Habits or lifestyles that conflict with Christian teaching could be considered restrictions. For example, living in greed, pride, or lust, are seen as barriers to a full relationship with Christ.
