Welcome back to the A.P.E. Academy Podcast. In this episode we continue our discussion on race, whiteness, and the assimilation of immigrant groups.

Irish Catholics are among the oldest and most respected of America's many European immigrant communities. However, upon arrival, they were widely despised, and at times suffered extreme discrimination. We will outline two major positions in the debate on Irish whiteness and explain the reasons for such divergent opinions. Enjoy!!
