Many times, amidst the hardships of life, we do not take the time to listen to God. We make certain we take time to tell God what we think but we refuse to listen.
Habakkuk, in chapter 2, goes to a special place to get alone with God. There he receives the Instruction of God to Write and to Wait. God then gives Habakkuk a glimpse of the dark backdrop of God's judgment. God does not leave him in total darkness but shines light. With this rainbow of light one finds the promises of God's grace, glory, and government.
As you an I quiet ourselves and listen to God, we can also be reminded that God is in total control and He is just what we need -- all we need. Are you living in pride or by faith?
