Interview with Brian Hayes on European Parliament defence proposals

EuroParlRadio's Editor, Karen Coleman talks to the Fine Gael MEP Brian Hayes about European Parliament proposals for greater defence and security cooperation. The European Parliament has proposed a range of defence initiatives including the establishment of multinational forces and an EU headquarters to plan and command crisis management operations. They also want the EU to act where NATO is unwilling to do so. The proposals follow previous recommendations made by the European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker for a common EU Army.
