US Close 9 Aug 17: Trump North Korea ”Fire and Fury” comments hit market in late trade

US sharemarkets eased on Tuesday. Investors responded to the latest economic data as well as reports that North Korea may have developed nuclear warheads. US President Trump said that North Korea will be "met with fire and fury" if it threatened the US. The Dow Jones index fell by 33 points or 0.2% with the S&P 500 down by 0.2% while the Nasdaq lost 13 points or 0.2%.
