Farmers will be able to reduce their carbon footprint thanks to new technologies and help from the EU.
That’s according to Ireland South MEP Sean Kelly. He was commenting on the new Common Agricultural policy that got final approval from the European Parliament this week.
The new reformed farm policy promises to be greener, fairer, more flexible and transparent. Sean Kelly says he understands the fears some farmers have about adopting more environmentally-friendly practices.
But he says new innovations are there to help them reduce their carbon emissions.
