A friend calls to tell you he is going to commit suicide. How would you deal with that?

Jonathan felt different as a child and stood out which unfortunately made him an easy target to be bullied. Sadly, this has had a huge negative impact on his life and affected him greatly. His message around what to do if you are being bullied is important in my opinion and helps to stop this appalling behaviour. Jonathan has incredible courage to share his story with me. He talks candidly about trying to come to terms with being gay as a teenager and then having the strength to tell his family and friends in the late 80’s/early 90’s which was a huge deal at the time. How he felt rejected, tried to find acceptance, and being acknowledged for who he was. Throughout his life he has summoned real courage to face his demons and has grown as a result. He shares a truly traumatic story of receiving a call from a friend who had decided to end his life and trying to help him but unfortunately not being able to.
