The Intentional Clinician: Psychology, Philosophy, and Therapy
Health & Fitness:Mental Health
Charlotte Fox Weber, author and psychotherapist, has a conversation with Paul Krauss MA LPC about human desire and the intersection between acknowledging these feelings in psychotherapy and doing in one's own life as well. Charlotte Fox Weber's latest book: Tell Me What You Want: A Therapist and Her Clients Explore Our 12 Deepest Desires is an excellent combination of storytelling and insightful analysis that takes one behind the curtain of the counseling hour and into one of the deepest parts of the human experience: Desire.
In her book, Charlotte Fox Weber highlights 12 universal desires: To love and be loved, to be understood, to have power, to receive attention, to be free, to create, to belong, to win, to connect, to control, to have what we shouldn't. Charlotte and Paul discuss the book and how people can learn to express their desires and feeling more alive in their daily lives.
Charlotte Fox Weber is a psychotherapist and writer. She co-founded Examined Life and was the founding head of The School of Life Psychotherapy.
