Morning Report 28 May 20: US sharemarkets rose on Wednesday

Investors weighed economic recovery hopes against US-China tensions. Shares in Twitter fell 2.8% and Facebook lost 1.3% on regulation fears. At the close of trade, the Dow Jones index was up by 553 points or 2.2%. The S&P500 index rose by 1.5%. And the Nasdaq index rose by 72 points or 0.8%.
