Psychedelic music (sometimes called psychedelia) is a wide range of popular music styles and genres - a style of rock music that was largely inspired by hallucinogens, or so-called “mind-expanding” drugs such as marijuana and LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide; “acid”) - enhanced through the use of feedback, electronics, and intense volume - and has been found to have a significant influence on psychedelic therapy.
