Grab your friends and Family and let’s walk towards a cure for Ocular Melanoma! We are challenging you to join individuals from around the world by taking 7,000 steps every day in the month of January, with each step representing the 7,000 Ocular Melanoma patients that are diagnosed yearly worldwide. Walk with us not only for a healthier start to your new year, but also for progress in Ocular Melanoma research! Currently there is no cure, but with your help, we could move closer to finding one. As you participate in Steps for Sight, every step you take will get us closer to funding the critical research needed for a cure.
A Cure In Sight is partnering with the Melanoma Research Alliance (MRA) in 2023, to maximize the benefits from the funds raised. The money we raised last year will be matched by MRA to fund a 2-year research grant for Ocular Melanoma. Grant proposals have been received and are currently undergoing the MRA’s meticulous grant review process. Once proposals have been approved, A Cure In Sight will work with MRA to jointly issue the grant award and make the announcement in Spring 2023. This year with your help, we can fund another actionable research project exclusively for Ocular Melanoma
