Episode 137: Medicare Part A Facts - relaunched -

On this episode of the Ty Brady Way, Ty talks about Medicare Part A! Ty explains what Medicare Part A is used for and how you can help people who only have Medicare Part B. Ty shares how there are a number of different ways you can help people who don’t have Medicare Part A but the most common one, which depends on the state, is fighting the state through Policy 320! Ty explains how Policy 320 states that if the state takes money from the federal government to help people who are on state medication, they have to pay for Medicare Part A. Ty speaks about how not a lot of people know about this policy so it’s crucial for agents to constantly be learning and gaining new information as well as informing their clients about their options.

 

Ty talks about how you have to have worked 40 credits (10 years working full time) and have previously paid into Medicare. Ty explains how if your client doesn’t qualify there are a number of other options, most commonly qualifying through a spouse who has worked full time for 10 years and one day. Ty also shares how you can find a different route into Medicare Part A through Medicaid.
