Mid-Session 13 Apr 18: Market climbs as geopolitical tensions ease

The local sharemarket is trading higher on Friday, following a positive lead from Wall Street and easing geopolitical tensions. The ASX 200 is up 24 points or 0.4% to 5,840 - snapping a two-day losing streak.
