US Mid-Session 8 Mar 17: US markets lower - health Care reform concerns hit Pharma and biotech stocks

US sharemarkets fell on Tuesday, dragged lower by declines amongst pharmaceutical and bank stocks. US President Trump backed a Republican bill to repeal and replace the Obamacare health system. President Trump also said he was working on a plan to increase competition in the drug industry and reduce prices. With an hour of trade to go, the Dow Jones index was lower by 21 points or 0.1%. The S&P 500 index was down by 0.2% while the Nasdaq was lower by almost 7 points or 0.1%.
