Mid-Session 10 Jan 20: Local shares advance to new record highs

The ASX 200 and the All Ordinaries Index each advanced to new record highs in early trade on Friday, helped by gains on Wall St where stocks also trade at new record highs. Iron ore stocks traded against the buoyant trend, weighed down by lower prices for the steel making ingredient.
