Donald Babatope OLOMOLA is a seasoned researcher with over twenty years’ experience in the field of Biotechnology, agriculture and forestry, environment, biodiversity, human and public health. He is presently a Principal Research Fellow with the forestry research Institute of Nigeria and former Head of the Biotechnology Department of the institute. He has always been part of policy formulations at International and National fora, e.g. International treaty on Plant Genetic resource on Food and Agriculture, Biosafety approval of genetic resources, etc. He had his first degree in microbiology and post-graduate degree also in Microbiology (Biotech option). He is a reviewer on a number of Scientific journals.
His research interests include climate-smart agriculture, biological control of pests and diseases, plant tissue culture, molecular biology, conservation of biodiversity, genetics.
