Ahead of the Fed

Danae Kyriakopoulou, OMFIF’s chief economist and head of research, is joined by a panel of experts to discuss development at the US Federal Reserve. Speakers include: Randall Kroszner, former member of the Fed board of governors; Sarah Bloom Raskin, another former board member and former US deputy Treasury secretary; and John Davies, US rates strategist at Standard Chartered. They discuss what markets can expect from the Fed in 2018, the path of the dollar and the changing nature of foreign reserves. They assess the potential impact of President Donald Trump’s tax reforms and how new personalities at the Fed will affect monetary policy.
