Betrayed, But in Control

Betrayal is one of the most painful experiences a person can go through—especially when it comes from someone close. In Matthew 26:47–50, Jesus is in the Garden of Gethsemane when Judas approaches Him—not with an army, not with a harsh word, but with a kiss. A symbol of love and friendship turned into a tool of deception.

But even in this heartbreaking moment, Jesus was in complete control. He didn’t panic. He didn’t retaliate. He called Judas “friend.” He stood firm in His identity and purpose, knowing that the betrayal was not the end—it was part of the mission.
