AM Report 15 Mar 18: Global tariff concerns and weak retail sales hit markets

US sharemarkets were weaker on Wednesday. Fears of a trade war with China weighed on sentiment. US economic data had little impact on interest rate expectations. Shares in Boeing weighed most on the Dow Jones index, falling 2.5%. The Dow fell by 249 points.
