BIBLE STUDY 2 [JOHN 1:19-36] In this second part of the study on the gospel according to John we learn more about John the Baptist and how he prepared the way for Jesus Christ. John told the religious Jews that he was not the Christ (Messiah) himself, nor was he Elijah or that "prophet" of whom Moses spoke. John made it clear to the people that there was ONE coming whose sandals he was not worthy to even untie! He was talking about the person of Jesus Christ, who is also called the "Lamb of God."
