US Close 30 May 16: Another strong week for global markets - oil higher while gold slipped.

US sharemarkets ended higher after investors positively interpreted economic data and comments by Janet Yellen. The Dow Jones gained 45 points or 0.3% with the S&P 500 index up by 0.4% while the Nasdaq gained almost 32 points or 0.7%. Over the week the Dow Jones rose 2.1%, the S&P 500 lifted 2.3% and the Nasdaq gained 3.4% - the best weekly gain since February.
