As part of National Lung Cancer Awareness Month 2020, Dr. Debra Dyer, MD, Chair of the ACR’s Lung Cancer Screening Steering Committee, had a series of conversations with stakeholders across the healthcare spectrum about myths in lung screening in the limited series “Mythbusting Lung Cancer Screening.”

Dr. Debra Dyer kicks things off with Dr. Mike Gieske, MD. In part one of this five-part conversation, they discuss shared decision making with the patient, how long it takes, and what resources can be used to help facilitate the conversation.

Dr. Mike Gieske has been a primary care physician at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, KY since 1987. In addition to his daily practice, Dr. Gieske is the lead physician at his site in Ft. Mitchell, KY, and serves as East Division Physician Director of Primary Care.
