"You can’t truly appreciate the cross until you see yourself in the crowd who ran."
On Good Friday, we remember not only the sacrifice of Jesus, but the reality that all forsook Him and fled. Through the mysterious story of the unnamed young man in Mark 14, we’re reminded that the cross was not just for the “Judas-type” sinners—it was for all of us. Before the cross, we were all naked and ashamed. But because of the cross, we can be clothed in Christ's righteousness.
