Market Close 13 Aug 18: Turkey currency crisis causes global market jitters

Asian markets declined on Monday after talks between the US and Turkey regarding steel and aluminium tariffs stalled, sending the Turkish Lira plunging 18%. The ASX 200 slipped 0.4% to 6,252.
