Fast Break: Peter’s Shift from Hedge Funds to AI Solutions

On this episode of The Ty Brady Way, Ty is joined by Peter as he shares his journey from a math and physics enthusiast in Massachusetts to a successful entrepreneur after a career on Wall Street. Initially drawn to technical problem-solving and engineering challenges, Peter found himself working at a hedge fund, where he thrived in a fast-paced, math-focused environment. However, as he approached 40, he realized it was time for a change, leading him to co-found a tech company that tackled procurement challenges faced by large organizations.

 

Peter discusses the evolution of his new startup, Fast Break, which aims to streamline the procurement process through automation and AI. He highlights the importance of understanding the target market and the challenges he faced in identifying the right buyers. Initially aiming at small to midsize software companies, Peter discovered that larger organizations, particularly in the health insurance sector, represented a more promising opportunity due to their complex needs and bureaucratic processes. Peter emphasizes the role of AI in transforming how businesses handle proposals and bids, allowing teams to focus on critical aspects of the process rather than repetitive tasks.
