August 14, 2019 - Drop The Wink

A shortened week for us this week, but one that packed a hefty emotional punch that ranked 7.5 on the Eileen Scale. Gary’s getting work set-up with regard to the factory repair, calling on the services of Ed and then latterly Seb who is only too pleased to bury the hatchet anywhere other than his own back. Sarah, though, needs a bit more convincing. We hadn’t really been thinking much about Emma’s dad before last week, where he was introduced as having a dicky tummy, and things are only going to be heading south for him from here on in. Would that this be the extent of the complications to Emma’s life and the lives of other residents. Dev’s back and immediately chastises Evelyn for the gambling ring but when he realizes his error and has to eat humble pie, he’s going to have to get through Ruby before Evelyn is going to agree to forgive and forget. Robert’s lies extend this week to the point where no one is quite sure how many people he’s going to get married to on his fake 50th birthday. Meanwhile, Chesney disapproves of dancing, Tim’s Dad continues to frustrate, and Carla and Peter are off to get their hole at a motorway layby. And they say romance is dead.
