Today, we’re chatting about decades of building trust. For families navigating a childhood cancer diagnosis, trusting others—whether in the hospital or within the broader community—can feel like an overwhelming challenge. But for over 40 years, Camp Sunshine has worked tirelessly to earn that trust, creating a safe space for children and families to heal and find joy.
Camp Sunshine has built strong, trusted relationships with the individuals responsible for taking care of Georgia’s children with cancer, including the exceptional medical teams at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital of Savannah. These medical professionals have seen firsthand the incredible impact Camp Sunshine has on the lives of children with cancer—and as a result, they’ve been a consistent and passionate advocate for encouraging families to experience the healing power of this organization.
