Under Arrest - The Sam Carver Case

Captain Jim Scott receives a call from Officer Harry Gavin. Gavin tells him that he is at Madame Cherini's. Jim says "Great, aren't you supposed to be on duty?"  Gavin says "I am on duty. I'm sitting up with a corpse". Jim then asks "does the corpse has a name?" Gavin says "yes, he is Jerome K. Wade, the gun manufacturer that used to be partners with Sam Carver. He has been shot". Jim asks "who did it?" Gavin says "Sam Carver". Jim says "you're crazy, Sam Carver's been dead for four years. Now look Gavin, I don't like to joke about such things". Gavin says "I'm not kidding. Madame Cherini is a medium, and she swears that Carver did it".
