The owner of American Dream in New Jersey, a $5bn retail led development on the outskirts of Manhattan, is looking to secure UK retail and restaurant brands for its 3m sq ft project. The owner of American Dream in New Jersey, a $5bn retail led development on the outskirts of Manhattan, is looking to secure UK retail and restaurant brands for its 3m sq ft project.

Retailers that have already agreed deals include Hermès, Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor, Zara, H&M and Primark.

When complete in 2019, the development will have 450 shops and restaurants. More than 50% of the space will be dedicated to entertainment facilities including a Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park, DreamWorks indoor waterpark, Big Snow America indoor ski slope, Observation Wheel, Merlin Entertainment’s Sea Life Aquarium and Legoland Discovery Centre, Kidzania, Cirque du Soleil theatre, Cinemex luxury experience and an NHL sized ice rink
