US Mid-Session 11 Dec 15: US markets rebound helped by cuts to future spending from energy & mining firms

US sharemarkets rallied on Thursday as investors searched for bargains given the recent slide. The energy sector (up 1.7%) led the gains despite the slide in the oil price.
