Living Wisely as a Humanist

What does it mean to be a Humanist?

To me, it means trying to be the best person I can be.

But to be the best person I can be, I have to have some idea of what it means to be good.

And knowing what is good, in any given situation, isn’t easy.

Sometimes figuring out the right thing to do is hard.

Which is why experience and wisdom are so important.

I know I don’t have all the answers, but by reading and learning, I can learn from the mistakes of others.

And think about what sort of person I want to be.

And the more I practice, the better I get at this thing called life.

And to me, that is wisdom.
