Drink of the Day - A Real Mai Tai
1 oz light  rum

1 oz dark rum (Jamaican preferred)
1 oz fresh lime juice
1/2 oz orgeat syrup (almond-flavored syrup)
1/2 oz of orange brandy or liqueur

Method 1: Shake all ingredients and serve trained over crushed ice
Method 2: Shake all ingredients EXCEPT the dark rum. Strain over crushed ice and float the dark rum on top

Either way, garnish w/ mint and/or a citrus wheel
