Quentin Tarantino

It's such a perfect biographical detail that the young Quentin Tarantino worked as a video store clerk, and one can imagine him eagerly telling customers what they should watch. In his own case that meant viewing both classic films and exploitation pictures. Seemingly all of that film history gets referenced in his films as a writer and director, which are discussed by HCC film professors Marie Westhaver and Mike Giuliano in this Podcast episode. Tarantino is such a provocative and popular director that Marie and Mike really enjoy using such films as "Reservoir Dogs" (1992), "Pulp Fiction" (1994) and "Django Unchained" (2012) in some of their courses here at the college.
