The Chicago Bears roster is looking strong, and making the final 53-man roster will not be easy. After serious upgrades to both the Running Back and Wide Receiver rooms during the offseason, the Bears find themselves with a battle for one (1) of their final roster spots between several players including Velus Jones Jr. and the UDFA from Howard; Ian Wheeler.

Both Velus Jones Jr. and Ian Wheeler shared the spotlight in episode two (2) of Hard Knocks, where the Running Back expierment for Velus was well documented. Ian Wheeler did not disappoint with his performance against the Buffalo Bills where he scored two (2) touchdowns, while Velus Jones Jr. flashed the good with both the bad and the ugly.

Can the Chicago Bears afford to play with fire and put Velus Jones Jr. in an important rule, knowing that Velus has already directly contributed to several losses as a member of the Chicago Bears? The Bears may be wise to move on from Velus and instead keep ahold of the future doctor from Howard.
