Independent MEP Welcomes New Rules on Posting of Workers Pay and Conditions

Intro 

Independent MEP for Midlands North-West , Marian Harkin, has welcomed the European Parliament's decision to back new rules on Posting Workers. 

Under the measures, workers posted temporarily to another EU country will be entitled to equal pay and working conditions. 

The new system will apply where there is an existing collective agreement in place. 

Governments now have two years to transpose the rules into their national laws.
