On Thanksgiving 2012, Byron Smith, 64, killed teens Nicholas Brady, 17, and Haile Kifer, 18, after they broke into his Little Falls, MN home. Fed up with burglaries, he set a trap, waited with guns and a recorder, then shot them in his basement. He delayed calling police. Audio showed intent, not fear.
