Dr. Sheehy-Bensigner has worked in the optical and ophthalmic engineering realm for more than 15 years with direct clinical research experience with neurodegenerative patient populations at top research institutions including University of California, Berkeley and University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Sheehy-Bensigner is a published scientific author and has given invited presentations domestically and internationally on the subjects of neuro-optometry, engineering, and design. She has been awarded three NIH Small Business grants and an investment from the Alzheimer’ Drug Discovery Foundation (ADDF). She has brought in over $7M in funding via grants, angel & venture capital investments to date.
