107: Understanding Picky Eating vs Feeding Disorders Among Adolescents with Jaclyn Pederson

Feeding Disorders (ARFID & PFD) are relatively new when compared to other more established and commonly understood eating disorders, so it can be difficult to find factual, up-to-date research-backed information and support. Plus, because it's not typically considered a teen disorder, it is overlooked, misdiagnosed or confused with an eating disorder such as Anorexia Nervosa.

In this week's episode of the Healthy Teen Life podcast I'm joined by Jaclyn Pederson, CEO of Feeding Matters, to discuss the intricacies of feeding disorders in adolescents. 

In particular we cover the two often overlooked conditions of Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) and Pediatric Feeding Disorder (PFD).
