Mid-Session 17 Dec 18: ASX 200 struggles after Wall St hits 8-month lows

The Australian sharemarket is treading water on Monday, following a weak lead from Wall Street. All three major US indices hit correction territory on Friday, meaning they’re down 10% from their recent highs.
